Remember the old saying “good better best, let us never rest till our good is better and our better best”.
Well, in our autumn/winter sermon series @ The Chapel we will be describing Jesus as the ‘believer’s best’ – even the earliest Christians concluded that the fruit of his life and ministry was so much better than anything else they had experienced before (Hebrew 7:22)!
We are also going to be saying that once we are convinced that Jesus’ death on the cross created – and continues to create – a way for us to be united, and at peace with a Holy God (despite our many faults and failings!), we can then experience the loving and energising Spirit of God, which is able to liberate us from a self-centred take on life – with all the unnecessary pain and suffering it creates in our lives.
